Electricity company Ecotricity want to build 4 wind-turbines in the Reperry Cross area, on the side of the hill stretching alongside the Bodmin bypass (see map below)
At the minimum suggested height of
100m/328 feet, that's more than twice the height of
the Bodmin Beacon, and amongst the tallest in Cornwall these
proposed wind turbines will dominate the whole area. We believe that the
siting of these proposed at Reperry Cross to be wholly unsuitable, being
within ½ a mile of the village of Lanivet, only ¾ mile from Helman Tor
(area of scientific interest) and adjacent nature reserves, and approx.
256 feet higher above sea level than the Tor!
